Dare to Scare 5k & Sweet Treat Fun Run

Saturday, October 24, 2026Manteo, NC1 Miles – 5K

This point-to-point 5K takes runners from the Coastal Studies Institute in Wanchese to the Virginia S. Tillett Community Center in Manteo. The event features a festive atmosphere with a costume contest and spooky swag for Fun Run participants. Runners should plan carefully for race-day logistics, as the start line parking area will be restricted to ensure participant safety. Pre-race transportation is available for those who park at the finish line, making it a convenient option for a stress-free morning. Whether you are racing for a top-three finish or enjoying the community spirit, this event offers a unique way to experience the local area. Virtual options are also available for those who prefer to complete their 5K on their own schedule.
