12th Annual Mighty Gobbler

Thursday, November 26, 2026Troy, MI1 Miles – 5K

The Mighty Gobbler is a beloved Thanksgiving tradition that invites runners and walkers to kick off their holiday with a community-focused event. This race features the only USATF-certified 5K course in Michigan held on Thanksgiving Day, winding through a mix of quiet neighborhoods and commercial areas. Participants can choose between a 5K run or a 1-mile fun run/walk, making it an accessible experience for all ages and paces. Beyond the race, the event has a strong charitable heart, having donated over $120,000 and 10,000 canned goods to the community since 2015. Runners are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations to enter a raffle for exciting prizes. With t-shirts and awards for all participants, it is the perfect way to earn your holiday feast while supporting local causes.
