Zombie Run

Sunday, October 18, 2026Wilmington, NC1 Miles – 5K

Experience a thrilling, non-timed 5K where you must outrun zombies stationed throughout the course to keep your flags intact. This spooky event challenges participants to navigate the route while avoiding the undead, with special prizes for the first 50 survivors who finish with at least one flag remaining. For families and younger runners, the Monster Mile offers a festive, less intense experience where kids can trick-or-treat and snap photos with the zombies. All proceeds from this event directly support educational trips and program opportunities for the Lyceum Academy at New Hanover High School. By participating, you help ensure that every student has the financial support needed to engage in these enriching, project-based learning experiences. Whether you escape the zombies or get caught, every runner receives a commemorative t-shirt for their efforts.
