Join the Where the Wild Things Run 5K for a meaningful race experience set on the scenic campus of Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. This professionally timed event invites runners and walkers of all levels to support the critical lifesaving work of the South Florida Wildlife Center. Participants can choose from spirited teams like the Hoot and Holler or Play Dead Legends to celebrate the center's ambassador animals. Beyond the race, you will have the unique opportunity to meet these wildlife ambassadors up close after crossing the finish line. Every stride helps provide emergency rescue, medical treatment, and rehabilitation for over 8,000 animals admitted to the center each year. Lace up your shoes and run with purpose to give native wildlife a second chance at life.
