Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - The Triangle, NC

Saturday, October 17, 2026Raleigh, NC5K

The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in the Triangle is a meaningful community event dedicated to honoring the life and legacy of FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller. Participants come together to remember the events of September 11, 2001, while supporting first responders and military personnel who serve with extraordinary sacrifice. This 5K course is open to runners and walkers of all abilities, fostering an inclusive atmosphere of remembrance and gratitude. A unique aspect of the event is the recognition of participants who run in full firefighter turnout gear or military backpacks, mirroring Siller's final heroic journey. Beyond the run, the event serves as a significant fundraiser for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, with opportunities for participants to engage in personal fundraising efforts. It is more than just a race; it is a powerful experience that unites the community in a shared mission of service and tribute.
