The Toughest 10K Galveston serves as the second event in the prestigious Texas Bridge Series, inviting runners to test their mettle on a unique course. The route takes participants over the iconic Galveston Causeway, a true engineering marvel that provides a dramatic backdrop for the race. Starting at the Galveston County Daily News offices, the course heads northbound before looping around at Tiki Island and returning across the bridge. While the surrounding southeast Texas terrain is famously flat, the causeway introduces a significant challenge with its 72-foot elevation and demanding 3.5% grade. Runners must conquer this incline twice, making it a memorable test of endurance and strength. This race offers a perfect blend of flat-road speed and bridge-climbing intensity for athletes of all levels.
