Thanksgiving Day Turkey Run & Walk

Thursday, November 26, 2026Anderson, IN5.15 Miles

Celebrate Thanksgiving with a community-focused Turkey Trot at the scenic Shadyside Lake. This annual event invites both runners and walkers to participate in a fun, multi-lap course around the water. Runners tackle two laps for a total of approximately 5.28 miles, while walkers enjoy a single 2.64-mile loop. All proceeds from the $5 entry fee directly support Outfitters, a local charity providing clothing to children in need throughout Madison County. Participants are encouraged to bring their own hydration and nutrition, as the course is self-supported. Top finishers in both categories will be rewarded with special prizes and festive holiday pies.
