RC & MoonPie Presidential Downhill Mile A fast, fun, and uniquely Southern tradition: a one mile downhill with a sweet (and slightly chaotic) twist. Saturday, April 17, 2027 · President's Home, Clemson, SC About the Race After a successful return last year, one of Clemson's most legendary races is back once again. The RC & MoonPie Presidential Downhill Mile returns as a fast, fun, and uniquely Southern tradition... a one mile downhill with a sweet (and slightly chaotic) twist. The race honors former Clemson President R.C. Edwards and his wife, Louise "MoonPie" Edwards. Their legacy lives on through one of Clemson's most beloved and joyfully unconventional traditions. After last year's comeback, we're doing it again: louder, faster, and even more fun. Join us as we continue the tradition, celebrate Clemson spirit, and honor the leaders who helped shape our university! 📍 Race Day Details Date Saturday, April 17, 2027 Location President's Home, Clemson, SC 29631 Check-In 10:00 AM on the sidewalk in front of the President's House Guest Speaker 10:45 AM, sharing the history of RC & MoonPie 🏃 The Events 1 Mile (competitive wave) · 11:00 AM Race will kick off promptly at 11 AM. 1 Mile (fun wave / untimed) · 11:15 AM 🗺️ Course Participants will gather on the sidewalk outside the President's House, where they'll be sent off by a very special guest.
