Race the Base returns to Pinnacle Mountain State Park with a brand new Monumental Half Marathon alongside the classic 4-mile trail run. The new half marathon challenges experienced runners with rugged single track and rolling climbs through the scenic Monument Trail system. The 4-mile classic offers a moderately challenging loop around the base of Pinnacle Mountain, featuring a mix of gravel, paved trail, and technical single track. Participants can test their mettle on 'Joe’s Revenge,' a brutal forest road climb, while competing for unique hand-painted rock trophies. Held on National Trick or Treat Day, the event encourages costumes and features a free Kingfisher Kids Run for younger participants. This community-focused race showcases the stunning Ozark foothill scenery and the natural beauty of one of Arkansas' most prominent landmarks.
