The Ponderosa Polar Challenge is a unique endurance event held at the Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort, offering a flexible, community-focused experience near Zion National Park. Participants can choose their own adventure, with distances ranging from 5K to 150 miles to be completed within a 52-hour time limit. The course features a series of 1, 2, and 3-mile loops that can be run in either direction, allowing for a highly customizable race experience. Beyond the trails, the event emphasizes camaraderie and support, honoring the legacies of Lois Krotz and Tom McCabe through donations to animal rescue and trail maintenance. With included camping and various on-site amenities like a pool and hot tub, it is designed as a full weekend adventure for runners and their families. Whether you are chasing a personal record or simply enjoying the winter landscape, this event prioritizes the journey and the spirit of exploration.
