The PHUNT Trail Race invites runners to tackle the winter woods of the Fair Hill Natural Resource Management Area in Elkton, Maryland. Participants can choose between a 25K or a 50K distance, with the 50K consisting of two loops of the 15.6-mile course. The terrain is characterized by gentle rolling hills and moderately steep climbs, featuring a mix of single-track trails, pasture, and short sections of asphalt and gravel. Runners will enjoy a well-supported experience with aid stations featuring everything from bacon and grilled cheese to beer and warm fire pits. The start and finish take place at the heated Edward L. Walls Activity Hall, providing a comfortable space to recover or change clothes. Be prepared for unpredictable mid-Atlantic winter weather, which can range from freezing temperatures to fresh snow.
