ORRRC Gift Exchange 5k

Saturday, December 12, 2026Kettering, OH5K

The Gift Exchange 5k is a unique, low-key holiday celebration that trades traditional entry fees for a festive community experience. Instead of paying to race, participants bring a wrapped gift valued at approximately $10 to contribute to a giant post-race gift exchange. This family-friendly event encourages runners of all ages to share in the holiday spirit, though organizers ask that all gifts remain appropriate for children. The race takes place at the Kettering Recreation Complex and features a timing chip system for all participants. Overall male and female winners receive a special prize in addition to their exchange gift. It is a great way to connect with the local running community while enjoying a fun, non-traditional race format.
