The Goodbye 26 race marks the 12th year of this end-of-year tradition, now held on December 30th to give runners more options to close out their season. This low-frills, community-focused event takes place in downtown Rochester, utilizing the RARA building for indoor warmth and amenities before you head out onto the Clinton River Trail. The course is an out-and-back route, and runners are advised to bring traction gear like Yak Traks if winter conditions make the trail snowy or icy. Participants receive a unique, handmade finisher award crafted by local artisans, adding a special touch to the event. After crossing the finish line, you can celebrate with pizza, hot cocoa, and the race's famous white elephant prizes. For those looking for an extra challenge, this event is part of a three-day racing series to help you finish 2026 on a high note.
