Saturday, December 19, 2026Mount Vernon, WA5K
Join the community for a festive 5K run and walk along the Del Trail at Skagit Playfields, a course named in honor of long-time distance coach Jess del Bosque. This holiday-themed event features a unique start led by a team of 'reindeer' from the MVHS cross country squad. Participants are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the season, with every runner receiving a T-shirt and a Santa hat. Top finishers in each age group will be awarded special ornament medals to commemorate their performance. After crossing the finish line, enjoy complimentary water and hot drinks while supporting a great cause. All proceeds from the event benefit the Mount Vernon Athletic Fund to help local runners attend summer camp.
