The Brazos Bend 100 is Texas's largest trail race, renowned for being one of the fastest 100-mile courses in the world. Set within the scenic Brazos Bend State Park, the course features a multi-loop layout that is 99.9% flat, consisting of hard crushed rock, soft hiking trails, and smooth horse trails. Runners can expect a unique experience as they share the park with an abundance of birds and American alligators, which are a signature, albeit distant, part of the race environment. This event serves as a Western States 100 Lottery Qualifier, attracting competitive fields looking for fast times. With typical December temperatures ranging from 40-70 degrees, it offers an ideal setting for endurance athletes. Participants can also earn a special Brazos Bend Challenge Coin by completing both the spring and winter race editions in the same calendar year.
