However, the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) are still lacking proper representation of minority groups, including women. The HBCU STEM Education Run (STEMER) strives to raise funds and awareness through fitness. Each year, funds are dedicated to improving STEM education and accessibility for black individuals.
