Experience a unique journey through history on the Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Half Marathon, which features nine miles of carriage roads originally commissioned by John Rockefeller Jr. in 1913. This hilly course begins in the charming, picturesque fishing town of Bar Harbor before venturing deep into the scenic landscapes of Acadia National Park. Runners will find themselves enveloped by dense forests and will cross several historic granite bridges that define the character of this trail-based route. The course eventually loops back to the town, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty and coastal New England atmosphere. With its hard-packed trail surfaces and iconic park setting, this race provides a memorable challenge for those looking to explore one of America's most beautiful national parks on foot.
