Saturday, February 6, 2027Sarasota, FLSuperhero Fun Run – 5K
The 16th Annual Superhero 5K & Fun Run invites participants to Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota for a family-friendly event supporting local foster care awareness. Runners are encouraged to embrace the superhero theme by dressing as their favorite characters, with special costume awards and medals available. The course features an out-and-back route starting on the island near the rowing finish tower. Beyond the race, the event fosters community connection with music, a kiddie zone, and food. It is a meaningful way to support the approximately 700 youth in foster care across Sarasota, Manatee, and DeSoto Counties. Whether you are a competitive runner or a family looking for fun, this event offers a unique blend of athleticism and advocacy.
